Un atelier de renforcement des capacités des organisations de la société civile, des médias, des étudiants et des universitaires sur la réglementation des revenus pétro – gaziers et miniers s’est tenu ce samedi 10 décembre, à l’hôtel Square, à Thiès, à l’initiative du Forum Civil, en consortium avec NRGI et l’ ONG 3D,avec le financement de l’USAID.

Cet atelier a permis aux populations de connaître les attitudes, les dispositions à prendre pour avoir toute l’information sur l’exploitation minière, gazière et pétrolière afin de bénéficier de ses ressources issues des industries extractives, a expliqué le coordonnateur régional du Forum civil, section Thiès, Dr Alioune Babou. Selon lui, 《Ce thème est un débat récurrent dans la société et dans les médias. Les mines sont potentiellement capables de déstabiliser le pays》, c’est pourquoi dit – il, le forum civil a organisé cette rencontre pour sensibiliser les acteurs de la société civile et les médias sur la réglementation des revenus tirés dans le secteur minier au Sénégal.

En effet, il a lancé un appel à tous les acteurs des sociétés d’exploitation dans la bonne gouvernance et la transparence des ressources à exploiter dans les zones minières. En outre, le facilitateur de cet atelier, le directeur général de la Société des Mines du Sénégal, Dr Ousmane Cissé est revenu sur les concepts utilisés dans le secteur des mines. 《 Ces concepts permettent aux participants de comprendre les mécanismes sur toute la réglementation qui a été mise en place par l’Etat du Sénégal, pour arriver à une redistribution des revenus dans ce secteur 》.

Il a également insisté sur d’autres sujets qui touchent les mines comme la question du fonds d’appui au secteur minier avec les collectivités territoriales et celle liée aux revenus pétro – gaziers, le contenu local , entre autres. Marie noel Séne Madame Youm participante, membre du forum civil section de Thiès, s’est réjouie de cet atelier qui à son avis,va participer à l’acquisition de nouvelles connaissances pour mieux distinguer les concepts utilisés dans le secteur minier.

Au sortir de cet atelier qui a durée plus de six tours d’horloge, le Forum Civil de la région de Thiès, à travers ses différents participants, a renforcé davantage les cibles dans la réglementation des ressources qui seront mobilisées dans les zones impactées par l’exploitation minière. Il ne compte pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin, car il est prévu d’autres sessions de renforcement des capacités avec ce nouveau projet dans les zones ciblées à l’intérieur du pays.
