Le Maire de la ville de Thiès, en collaboration avec le Fonds d’Entretien Routier Autonome ( FERA), a procédé ce mardi 20 septembre 2022 à la réception d’un important lot de matériel de nettoiement. À cet effet, ce matériel composé de brouettes, balais,gants, entre autres, estimé d’une valeur de dix millions de francs CFA. Cette logistique est mise à la disposition du personnel pour assurer leur sécurité et participer également pour une meilleure gestion d’un environnement viable. Une occasion saisie par l’édile de la ville de Thiès, Dr Babacar Diop pour assurer la sécurité de son personnel de nettoiement. 《Cet important lot de matériel va renforcer la capacité de la ville et le personnel du FERA qui fait un excellent travail 》, a – t – il signalé.
Il poursuit : 《Dans le cadre du désensablement et de l’entretien des artères de la ville, le personnel sera plus outillé pour réussir cet objectif « Thiès ville propre »》. C’est dans cette logique d’idée, Dr Babacar Diop a salué la collaboration dynamique de l’ UCG, du FERA et de la mairie pour faire face aux inondations durant l’hivernage. Pour contextualiser son projet d’embellissement par rapport aux activités du Fera, le premier magistrat de la ville dit : 《Notre ambition est d’amener le pavage au niveau des quartiers populaires de Thiès》, a – t – il insisté.
Selon lui, « Nous sommes en train de travailler pour renforcer l’autonomie de la ville de Thiès ». Il a estimé que : « Le projet de réhabilitation de la Place de France , de la place Agora et de l’ Avenue Caen est devenu une préoccupation majeure pour la mairie », a ajouté le Maire de Thiès.
