Le verdict est tombé pour le maire de Dakar, et non moins député de la 14e législature Barthélémy Dias. En effet, il a été condamné à 2 ans de prison dont 6 mois ferme par la Cour d’appel de Dakar ce matin. Autrement dit,ladite Cour a confirmé le verdict prononcé en première instance, il y’a quelques années, par le tribunal correctionnel de Dakar, dans l’affaire du meurtre de Ndiaga Diouf, suite à une fusillade à la mairie de Mermoz.
Condamné une première fois en 2017 pour « coups mortels », l’actuel Maire de la capitale sénégalaise avait écopé de deux ans de prison dont six mois ferme. Une peine qu’il avait déjà purgée en 2012, après les faits, suite à sa détention provisoire.
Avec cette confirmation de la peine prononcée en 2017 par la tribunal correctionnel, Barthélémy Dias, ne risque pas de retourner en prison, mais devra tout de même, verser la rondelette somme 25 000 000 de F CFA à la famille de Ndiaga Diouf en guise de dédommagement.
