Les populations se sont organisées pour apporter les premiers secours aux victimes avant l’arrivée des Sapeurs pompiers. Après 2 heures d’intervention, les secouristes réussiront à endiguer la propagation du feu, avec difficultés à cause de la nature anarchique du site.
Les flammes ont engendré d’importantes pertes matérielles au niveau des magasins spécialisés dans la vente de mercerie et un atelier de réparation de téléviseurs. Pour rappel il y a 2mois un incendie d’une rare violence avait frappé le même marché la nuit du dimanche 10 au lundi 11 juillet 2022.
