Les populations de Darou khoudoss (MBORO) envahissent la rue et exigent aux ICS une eau de qualité en Quantité
Les populations de Darou Khoudoss (Mboro) se sont mobilisées comme un seul homme ce vendredi 02 août 2019 pour envahir en masse la rue et protester contre le manque d’eau auquel ils sont confrontés.
Les populations de la commune de Darou Khoudoss sont descendues dans la rue, arborant des brassards rouges et déployant des banderoles dénoncent avec véhémence, leurs conditions de vie précaire.
Demba Fall DIOUF, président du comité de veille et de contrôle citoyen a porté leur voix à travers un manifeste dans lequel, il liste des maux dont souffre sa localité; en premier lieu la pollution de la nappe phréatique et réclament un approvisionnement en eau en qualité et en qualité aux profits des populations. Ces derniers, impactés par les ICS, sont dépossédés de leur principal outil de production et vivent dans la précarité.
Pour toutes ces considérations, les riverains interpellent les plus hautes autorités de ce pays et les Ics , sur des questions vitales liées à l’emploi des jeunes, la protection de l’environnement , aux domaines sociaux , sportifs , agricoles et communautaires ( Dac). Enfin, Demba Fall, président du collectif de Darou Khoudoss considère que sa localité qui est la plus riche, manque de tout et où la société Ics Indorama, n’assume pas sa responsabilité sociétale d’entreprise (RSE).( vidéo)
Pour rappel les populations de cette commune populeux de Darou khoudoss sont sans eau depuis plusieurs mois. << Nous rappelons à la direction des ICS ( Industrie chimique du Sénégal) à respecter la responsabilité sociétale de l’entreprise>> a indiqué le porte-parole du jour.
Les populations réclament un programme concret de distribution d’eau dans tous les villages de la commune aux ICS avant d’interpeller les autorités gouvernementales sur la situation de Darou khoudoss.
En sus de ce problème d’eau les populations de Darou Khoudoss ont évoqué dans le mémorandum notamment le problème de la pollution, le déversement du souffre sur la voie, et plusieurs autres problèmes inhérents à la non application de la RSE de l’industrie polluante que représente les ICS .
Demba Fall Diouf indique que d’autres actions suivront si la direction des ICS ne réagit pas
