Elle a battu, ce lundi, pour sa deuxième sortie de la poule C, l’Egypte sur la marque de 78-63. Une victoire qui permet aux Lionnes de terminer à la première place du groupe.
Mais face aux Égyptiennes, on s’attendait à une opposition plus dure que contre la Guinée. C’est effectivement ce qui est arrivé. Même si les Lionnes ont dominé le premier quart par 21-15, les Pharaonnes ont été présentes dans les duels.
Elles ont tenté de réduire l’écart au début du deuxième quart, mais n’arriveront pas à inverser la tendance. Le Sénégal marque 18 points contre 10 seulement pour l’Egypte. Le score sera de 14 points (39-25) d’écart à la pause.
L’Egypte remporte le troisième quart-temps par 19-18, mais n’arrive pas à revenir au score qui était de 57-44 à la fin de cette partie. Les protégées de Moustapha Gaye vont se servir de leur expérience pour maintenir leur avantage jusqu’à la fin de la rencontre.
Le score final : 78-63.
